Tefzel ™ ETFE 207 is a special-purpose fluoroplastic resinavailable in translucent, 2.5-mm (0.1-in) pellets. Compared withother grades of Tefzel ™ , it has a higher flow rate and stillmaintains a service temperature of 150 °C (302 °F).
Tefzel ® 207 and the other Tefzel ® fluoropolymers are meltprocessible, modified copolymers of ethylene andtetrafluoroethylene. They are high-performance resins that can beprocessed at relatively high rates compared with fluorocarbonresins. They are mechanically tough and offer an excellent balanceof properties.
The relatively high flow rate of Tefzel ® 207 makes it uni for high-speed processing, especially for extrudedcoatings and injection molding of slender, thin-walled or intricateshapes. Properly processed products made from neat Tefzel ® 207 areinert to most solvents and chemicals, hydrolytically stable, andweather resistant. Recommended upper service temperature is 150°C(302°F); useful properties are retained at cryogenic ranges. Thelevel and stability of dielectric properties are excellent and theflame rating is V-0 by the UL94 method. Mechanical propertiesinclude outstanding impact strength, cut-through, and abrasionresistance.

Typical End Products
Tefzel ® 207 is ideal for many end products, including electricalcomponents such as sleeving, coil forms, sockets, connectors, andswitches; lab ware such as tubing, valves, containers, andfasteners; battery or instrument components that require chemicalinertness; and mechanical parts. The high melt flow rate of thisproduct makes it ideal for injection molding and thin wallextrusion.
